Sunaina's POV

Today I woke up very early as I normally would, which was quite surprising to be honest, but this is what responsibilities teach you. Stretching myself in bed I finished my morning routine and changed into my pjs. It is still 7 am , I still have 4-5 hours to get ready for the functions so I'll have a quick look at the preparations for tomorrow and all the gifts we need to take today for Roka . After taking a last look at myself I headed downstairs, except for the workers no one was present.

That means bhaiya was still sleeping, he must be tired so skipping the task of checking on him I first went to the kitchen to fetch myself a quick breakfast.

" Namaste aap sabhi ko, aap logo ne nashta kara na ??" I asked the workers descending the stairs.

( Good morning, everyone had their breakfast right ?)

" Yes beta we did, you too go and quickly finish your breakfast. Your favourite cheese sandwich is Waiting for you." our cook replied to me caressing my head lovingly .

"Thank you aunty" I replied, rushing towards the dining table and quickly finished my breakfast. After which I decided to have a final check on the decorations and then went to the puja room to check all the gifts we need to give bhabhi as per my mother's instructions .

phew!!! everything was done.

My gaze went to the clock hanging on the wall, HOLY SHIT it is 9:30 , I need to check on bhaiya.

I hurriedly ran upstairs and continuously knocked on bhaiya's room's door.

After an eternity he finally opened his door rubbing his eyes,

I FUCKING KNEW IT , STUPID .

" ARE YOU MAD , HOW CAN YOU OVERSLEEP TODAY ONLY, OUT OF ALL DAYS, GO GET READY AND I SWEAR TO GOD BHAIYU I WANT YOU DOWNSTAIRS IN AN HOUR. COMPLETELY READY FOR YOUR ROKA , SO IRRESPONSIBLE ! " I shouted and went away huffing without waiting for his reply, who was pretty much wide awake now.

"STUPID IDIOT ASSHOLE, IT IS HIS ROKA AND OUR DEAR PRINCE IS SLEEPING TILL NOW WOW ." I muttered angrily but I heard someone chuckling, looking up I saw Devesh bhai and Nishika bhabhi.

" AREN'T YOU LAUGHING TOO MUCH DEV BHAI HUH, I WAS EXPECTING YOU GUYS YESTERDAY " I said huffing.

" I know princess I am sorry , Nishu's checkup was postponed so we couldn't come early. I know it is difficult handling everything alone. Forgive us?" he said they held their ears cutely to which I obviously gave in and hugged them tightly smiling widely at them.

I mean come on, bhabhi's checkups are more important.

" Your room is ready , go freshen up guys, I'll go and get ready and Dev bhai please check on that idiot" I said keeping my head on bhabhi's shoulder, side hugging her.

" Alright , you go and don't worry about that fucker, I'll see. " Dev bhai said

"Hey no cursing in front of my baby" bhabhi said glaring at him to which I laughed and bhai gave an apologetic look.

"Okay, I'll see you guys" I said going away and they too went to freshen up after a long journey.

After taking a quick shower, I got ready for the day. Today's function was not that grand so I kept the look simple. It was a pale yellow anarkali suit.

Thankfully when I arrived, bhaiya was already ready, sipping his coffee.

Is everyone ready ? bhaiya did you have your breakfast or not?" I said walking to them.

"Yes ma'am I did and you are late, we have been waiting for you for so long," bhaiya said, narrowing his eyes at me.

"Excuse me" I said, crossing my hands mirroring his expression.

" Stop it you asshole, she is working since morning and she is on time you are late" dev bhai said taking my side to which I smirked at bhaiya who just scoffed.

"Give me a minute guys " I said going to the puja room.

After cleaning a bit I prayed to god and lit the diya, 'Bhagwan ji bless bhaiya and bhabhi with all the happiness they deserve'.

Once I was done I gestured a few workers to take those gifts and arrange them in the trunk of a car while I went towards the living room with an arti ki thal. I applied a chotu sa tilak on everyone's forehead followed by feeding the prasad and giving aarti to them, nishika bhabhi did the same with me.

I said," Now we are ready ".

"Let's go guys" I said handing the arti thaal to a worker so that she could put it back and start moving towards our car but before I could move I was jerked in bhaiya's embrace.

" what's wrong sunu, hmm." he cooed so softly.

" I am so sooo happy for you bhaiyu, finally you will have a companion to share your pain with, you no longer have to be strong always ." I replied sniffing not wanting to spoil my makeup.

His eyes softened more, and he said " aww my princess"

" Okay that's enough let's go we'll get late" I said smiling, Dev bhai and bhabhi too had heart warming smiles on their faces.

Since we all were only four we decided to go in one car only, no one wanting to miss the fun while the gifts were accompanied in another car with our driver uncle .

" So on a scale of 1-10 how excited are you bhaiya." I asked

" Don't ask Sunu, our lover boy is over the moon, right Avinash bro" Dev bhai said laughing from the passenger seat , I too joined in laughing.

" shut up, you both, stop teasing him" nishika bhabhi said shaking her head.

" Only his sweetie pie can tease him, right bhaiya." said nishika bhabhi and joined us laughing.

" Will you guys shut up" bhaiya said irritatingly while driving the car and we all screamed " NO".

He flinched and said," hey bhagwan kis janam ka badla le rahe ho aap mujhse"

With this playful banter we reached. We saw our parents' car parked, which means they've reached. I don't want to face them. I don't remember the last time I met them personally, it was always 1 minute phone calls.

"Don't worry I am with you , relax sunu" bhaiya said sensing my foul mood. I didn't reply, just nodded.

"Let's get going, shall we?" Nishita bhabhi asked, and we started moving forward. Just then I remembered Holy shit I forgot to bring my bag with me from the car.

"You guys go , I'll go and just bring my bag." I said to which I got an 'okay' response.

Taking the car keys from bhaiya I went towards the car, just when I was about to reach I collided with a wall.

WAIT WHAT? A WALL?IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FOOTPATH?

I held whatever came in my hand to save myself from kissing the ground, which was the collar ? A WALL WITH A COLLAR?

And that supposedly wall's hand held my waist to prevent me from falling.

As I opened my eyes they met with a pair of charcoal eyes staring right into my soul in the same position.

I cleared my throat, he seemed to come out of his thoughts and created distance taking his hand away from my waist.

Fuck I already miss the warmth that hand was radiating. Wtf?

I was about to say thank you but that rude ass motherfucker opened his mouth" Watch where you are going miss." he said clearing his throat.

I gasped" OH HELLO MR WHOEVER YOU ARE FIRST OF ALL YOU WATCH WHERE YOU ARE GOING. I WAS GOING TO APOLOGISE BUT NOW NOT EVEN IN DREAMS." I replied more like I almost shouted by quoting you.

What does he think of himself huh? just because he is handsome with charcoal eyes, perfectly set hair, a well groomed beard and a sharp jawline, he can do and say anything?

"humphh" I stomped my feet and stormed off to my car, took my bag and went inside.

"Sunu let's go everyone is waiting" Dev bhai said coming towards me.

" yeah sorry I met a jerk outside" I said making a face to which bhai chuckled as if he understood what I was talking about.

I followed him inside and found everyone sitting inside , even my parents.

"Namaste" I said to Adhira aunty and Dev uncle and just gave a smile to my parents.

"namaste beta" they said in unison.

"Sunu, how are you ?" aunty asked, giving me a tight hug.

" I am perfectly fine aunty, how are you? " I said to aunty, hugging her back.

" I'm good sweetie. Come, I'll introduce you to my daughters." aunty said taking my hand, and went towards two girls sitting there.

"Girls meet Sunaina, Avinash's younger sister. Sunu meet my princesses, Pari and Ayesha, Priyal's sisters." Aunty introduced.

"Hey girls" I said with a smile.

"Hi " they replied with a smile too.

"Alright you girls talk, I'll go and sit with my oldie." Aunty said, making us laugh.

"So how are you guys?" I started and we just continued talking..a lot. We only stopped when Dev bhai announced bhabhi's arrival.

" Here comes the most gorgeous bride" Dev bhai said. My eyes went to the staircase and oh god bhabhi is so graceful and beautiful, her pictures did no justice to her beauty.

"bhaiya bas kr do she's getting shy, you can stare at her later after getting married to her" I whispered in bhaiya's ear breaking his staring bhabhi session and BOY HE WAS BLUSHING!!!!

" Hey sunu, finally met you, how are you doing " bhabhi said with a sweet smile.

" I am perfectly fine, waiting for you to come taaki hum bhaiya ko saath mei irritate kar ske" I said, grinning to which she laughed.

" Acha beta tu ruk terko ghar pohoch kr batata hu mai sunu ki bachi" bhaiya said smacking my head.

" heyy Avi, you can't do that " she said in a playful angry tone hugging me back and bhaiyu just stared at us in disbelief .

"AVIIIIIIII AWWWWWWWW" we all screamed in unison making the couple blush profusely.

"Shall we start with the rituals ?" My father said impatiently, I rolled my eyes at his usual behaviour.

" Ji bilkul, bas ek baar Adhvait aa jae fir hum log shuru krte haii, usko thoda urgent kaam tha aane wala h bas meri baat hogyi h usse" Dev uncle replied and my dad nodded.

(Yes sure, Let's just wait a few minutes for Adhvait, he had urgent work, he's joining us soon.)

"So, how's US Sunu beta, I heard you are shifting permanently here " Dev uncle asked

" Yes uncle, the US was great but I just can't live without bhaiya plus now that bhabhi will be with us I want to spend time with them both , so as of now I am staying back but I'll keep going back and forth as I have a branch office there." I said with a smile.

"That's cool dii, we all can spend time together, you know I love you already " pari said enthusiastically and we all chuckled.

"Of course we can, I would love to, we will plan many girls' trips," I said, returning the same energy.

"And who will work on your behalf young lady?" my mom said who has been quiet for quite some time.

Trust her for ruining the mood.

"Well, I know how to manage my work and personal life" I shrugged and everyone went silent.

" Why don't we all have some snacks first." adhira aunty said sensing the tension between me and my parents.

" I am sorry I am late" I heard a voice which was quite familiar so I turned around and saw MR HANDSOME POLE aka MR JERK.
